Bike Week is a ten-day motorcycle rally that ends on the Sunday of the first weekend in March, and it draws more than 500,000 riders into Volusia County. That closing weekend also lines up with the Daytona 200 motorcycle road race at Daytona International Speedway, which runs the first Saturday of March. If you are planning around one, you are effectively planning around both, since they land on the same weekend.

If your priority is being close enough to walk into the action, the Beachside neighborhood is where the rally actually lives. It sits across the Halifax River from the mainland with walk-on beach access, condo buildings, restaurants, and the classic Daytona beach energy the town is known for. Staying in Beachside during the rally means noise, crowds, and rideshare traffic well into the night, and for a lot of riders that is exactly the point. If you want to walk out the door and be in it, this is the neighborhood to book, and you should book it as early as the rest of this guide keeps repeating.
Quiet Nights: Staying Away From the Noise
Not everyone wants Main Street at midnight. If your priority is riding all day and actually sleeping at night, staying inland gives you distance from the loudest strip without giving up a reasonable drive to everything else. South Ridgewood, along US 1, puts you near Beach Street dining and Halifax River access with a short car ride to the Speedway. A couple of other inland options worth knowing about. The Halifax Riverfront gives you marina views and parks with quick routes to Beach Street, useful when you want water nearby without staying directly on the sand. Daytona Beach Shores, south of the main beach zone, works for travelers who want a quieter oceanfront base with an easy drive north into the event footprint when you want it. Either one trades a short drive for a real night's sleep, which during a ten-day rally is worth more than it sounds.
One traffic note worth planning around: on race and rally days the roads near the Speedway compress, so leave earlier than you think you need to, and expect the drive back to take longer than the drive out. Staying a little away from the Speedway cluster has a quiet upside too, since when the event lets out you are heading against the densest flow instead of into it.
Group Lodging: When Your Whole Crew Rides Together
Bike Week is a group trip more often than a solo one, and the lodging math changes once you are booking for six or eight people instead of two. A single hotel room does not work for a crew, and splitting a group across separate bookings at different properties means separate check-ins, separate keys, and a lot of texting to find each other in the morning.

Solo riders and couples booking a single condo have more flexibility and can sometimes find something even a few weeks out in a slower year, but a group booking an entire building or a block of units needs to move months ahead of the rally, not weeks.
If your dates are flexible, shifting a stay off the exact rally window can meaningfully change what you pay, since the surge is tied specifically to the event, not the season generally.
